Q. How can you control water solubility?
A. All Enpol films are water soluble. Whether a film dissolves in cold, medium or hot water is largely affected by the grade of raw polyvinyl alcohol (PVAL) selected to begin with.
Q. Do thick films take longer to dissolve than thin ones?
A. Yes, whilst thicker films are no less soluble at their given water solubility temperature, they will appear to display a greater ‘resistance’ to the effect of the free water.
Q. Can Enpol films be welded or heat-sealed?
A. Yes, all Enpol films will weld or heat seal on conventional equipment. E.g. vertical and horizontal form fill seal machinery, bottom and side weld bag makers, although lower solubility temperature films possess faster seal/dwell cycle times.
Q. Is it possible to print onto Enpol films?
A. Yes, Enpol films readily accept printing inks without the need to corona treat them.
